After graduating from the University of Utah with a degree in film, Edwin took his cinematic understanding to a new level when he completed The Guy Hanks/Marvin Miller Screenwriting program at USC. He then began to write, direct, and produce various independent projects across several mediums.

Concurrently, Mr. Benton opened, “Shine Residential" which provides living and support services to adults with disabilities in the Los Angeles area. 

More recently, Edwin expanded into gaming and partnered with superstar entertainer Chris "Ludacris" Bridges to launch Slang n' Friendz, a word game. Edwin quickly pivoted into the 7.5 billion dollar tabletop gaming industry by creating party card games for adults. which sale on Amazon, Walmart, Bed Bath and Beyond

Edwin is known for his creativity, fierce work ethic, and ever-expanding business acumen.​
